Memory Loss by EP is a long-form collection of 250 Bitcoin inscriptions that explores the most intimate paradox of the human experience: memory defines us,but is destined to corrupt and disappear. 250 Inscriptions consecutively inscribed in one transaction on consecutive Sat Block 78 with Parent-Child standard both for Provenance and Gamefication The project begins with the artist's personal photographs,real moments of his existence,which are subjected to a programmed degradation process lasting a hundred years,transforming the Bitcoin blockchain into a permanent theater of dissolution. Compressionism as a neurological metaphor: Pixelation and dithering aren't just aesthetic choices,they precisely replicate the way human memory decays. Details blur,colors flatten,information simplifies. Memory is in its essence,a lossy data compression algorithm. Time is measured by Bitcoin blocks: Each artwork degrades deterministically: 1 cycle every 52,560 blocks (~1 year), for 100 cycles total (~100 years). Pixelation progressively increases from 3×3 to 32×32 pixels,while colors desaturate toward four final palettes related to the stages of cognitive loss. The role of the collector: By pressing "p" while viewing,the collector exports an SVG of the artwork's current state and can re-inscribe it on-chain as a Child of the original inscription. Each Child increases the probability that the Parent will skip a degradation cycle—from 0% with no children to 10% with 6 or more. The collector becomes an active custodian of memory. The paradox of immutability: Each work is technically immortal on the blockchain, yet programmed to visually vanish. Immutable in its mutation,Eternal in its death,a perfect mirror of the human condition. Memory Loss is a permanent monument to that which cannot be preserved.
