Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. The Service

ord.net is a marketplace for Bitcoin ordinals (inscriptions). The Service provides a platform for users to browse, buy, sell, and manage digital artifacts inscribed on the Bitcoin blockchain. We are a platform — we do not take custody of your assets or act as a party to any transaction.

You acknowledge that blockchain transactions are irreversible and that you are solely responsible for the security of your wallet, private keys, and any transactions you initiate.

3. Wallet Connection

To use certain features, you must connect a compatible Bitcoin wallet. You are solely responsible for your wallet credentials and all activity that occurs through your connected wallet. We never have access to your private keys.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Engage in wash trading, market manipulation, or fraudulent activity.
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Upload or list content that infringes intellectual property rights of others.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security features of the Service.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, logos, text, and software, is owned by The Wizards of Ord LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our prior written consent.

Ownership of an inscription does not grant you intellectual property rights over the underlying content unless explicitly conveyed by the content creator.

6. Fees and Taxes

The Service may charge marketplace fees on transactions, which will be displayed before you confirm a transaction. You are solely responsible for any taxes, duties, or levies arising from your use of the Service and any transactions you conduct.

7. DMCA and Copyright Claims

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, please contact us at [email protected] with a description of the allegedly infringing content, proof of ownership, and your contact information. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We make no representations about the value, authenticity, or legality of any inscriptions listed on the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WIZARDS OF ORD LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR DIGITAL ASSETS, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Wizards of Ord LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted in the English language. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

12. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised Terms on the Service with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
